Founded in 2003, Fresbeira is headquartered in the Industrial Zone of Vila Nova de Poiares and is dedicated to live pigs, piglets, sheep and goats purchasing, slaughtering, cutting and packaging, as well as meat products processing and several regional dishes such as suckling pig or Chanfana.
Operating in an extremely demanding market concerning hygiene and sanitation, Fresbeira implemented a HACCP system and is implementing a Food Safety Management System EN ISO 22000:2005, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements to guarantee process control and food safety at all stages of the value chain.
